CARTER BURDEN METRO EAST 99TH STREET ADULT DAY PROGRAM

The Carter Burden Network developed New York State's first innovative Adult Day Program in 2,912 square feet of space on the first floor of the Metro East 99th Street building (Metro East), an affordable housing residence located in East Harlem. This building provides housing to adults who are low-income Medicaid beneficiaries and who are physically, as well as cognitively, challenged. Its goal is to transition residents into successful independent living by providing programs and services that increase both confidence through mastery of basic living skills, and levels of self-care in collaboration with health care professionals and community-based organizations.

Metro East Adult Day Demonstration Program concluded as of 12/30/17.  For inquiries, please contact Dozene Guishard at guishardd@carterburdennetwork.org.

CARTER BURDEN C.V. STARR ADULT DAY SERVICES

C.V. Starr Adult Day Services is a social model day program which offers a full day of therapeutic and recreational programming for older adults experiencing memory impairment or who are physically frail. It gives older adults who are living at home and might be isolated an opportunity for socialization and stimulation, as well as providing a respite for caregivers. C.V. Starr offers individuals an opportunity for social, recreational, and educational activities that foster relationships and enhance self-esteem.

C.V. Starr Adult Day program closed as of 12/30/17. For inquiries, please contact Dozene Guishard at guishardd@carterburdennetwork.org.
